Seven blogging tips for business
Most businesses know they should be writing blogs to build relationships with their ideal client and drive traffic to their website to enhance Google rankings, but it’s the actual content of the blog that often leaves people staring blankly at their screen wondering what to write about or when they will find the time!
If you’re stuck with blogging content, put yourself in the shoes of your ideal customer and give them advice so that they think of you in the future when they need to use your service or buy your product. Applying this thought process will also give you authority in your industry.

Here are seven of our top tips to get you started with your own blog:
1. Make time to blog
Schedule slots in your weekly calendar and include blogging in your marketing strategy. Be consistent with at least two posts a month.
2. Be patient
When you first start blogging it will take time for people to find your material so don’t be disheartened if no one engages at first.
3. Interview someone relevant in your industry
This is a great way of collaborating and supporting other businesses and creating fresh content. The person you interview will hopefully be kind enough to also share your blog which will help with its reach.
4. Blog for others
This is called guest blogging and is another way of reaching a new audience. Engaging with other blogs that interest you will also help build online business relationships and may lead to being invited to guest blog.
5. Use video blogs (vlogs)
These are a great way of showing the ‘real you’ and getting your audience to connect with you. They also mix up the type of content you offer, and they don’t need to be a Steven Spielberg production!
6. Use a call to action
Ask people to comment on your blog with their thoughts on the topic you are writing about or let them know where they can find you on social media.
7. Evaluate
As with all aspects of your marketing, make sure you measure the success of your blog. Is it pushing people to your website or social media?
